Era il lontano 1991, quando la Banpresto (Derivata della Bandai per il campo dei Videogiochi con personaggi di Anime) sfornò il primo GENIALE gioco di strategia per il buon vecchio Gameboy, con protagonisti.. proprio loro, i buoni e amati robottoni
La grafica era a dir poco penosa.. ma la sua giocabilità/longevità lo fecero diventare il poco tempo uno dei titoli più gettonati



Ben presto vi fu un seguito... e poi un'altro ancora... passando da Gameboy a Nes per arrivare al quarto capitolo della saga (il più FAMOSO) per Super Nintendo.
Il più FAMOSO perchè erano da poco stati inventati gli emulatori per PC. Ciò voleva dire che si poteva prendere la rom del gioco e patcharla. Tutti i menu furono tradotti prima in inglese, poi in italiano.. e finalmente molti iniziarono a conoscere questa fantastica saga (che non è mai uscita per la nostra regione, ma solo dedicata al mercato Jappo a causa dei diritti sui personaggi di anime).
Inutile dire che i giapponesi non potevano farne più a meno... da lì in poi fu una vera e propria epopea.
Super Robot Wars 4 fu importato anche sulla prima PSX con il nome di Super Robot Scramble al quale seguirono altri episodi! Super Robot Final, Final F per poi giungere ai bellissimi Super Robot Wars Alpha ed Alpha Gaiden




Ogni piattaforma esistente vide alla luce un capitolo della storia di Super Robot Wars... e tutt'oggi questa meravigliosa favola continua...
